To everyone I offer my congratulations on your engagements and your forthcoming weddings.
As an Authorised Marriage Celebrant and supporter of marriage equality I am honoured to perform weddings in Cairns and its surrounding areas. At all times I will respect your privacy and confidentiality. I also abide by the Code of Practice for Marriage Celebrants.
My offer to you as your Cairns Marriage Celebrant – or other parts of North Queensland – is:
- First of all, an obligation free initial meeting if you live in Cairns;
- Unlimited contact, either in person, by phone or email prior to your ceremony;
- Followed by a professional ceremony, delivered in a calm and clear manner.
- You will receive a ceremonial wedding certificate on the day of your wedding. If you require the official certificate from the Department of Births, Deaths and Marriages, this will cost $50.40 payable directly to BDM.
- I will take care of all the legal paperwork required by the Attorney General and the Department of Births, Deaths and Marriages
- You will also receive a presentation folder containing a quality printout of your ceremony;
- and the use of a PA system (for ceremony only), a table and cloth and 2 chairs (for beach or garden weddings)
- If in the unlikely event that I am unable to perform your ceremony due to illness on the day, I will arrange a fully qualified celebrant to take my place. However, this hasn’t happened yet!
- A rehearsal (recommended for large wedding parties)
- In addition, if I am already booked for your time and date, I will refer you to other local celebrants that I know.
- Especially relevant to your planning, you will receive a booklet (either email or hard copy) of sample ceremonies ,vows and readings.
If you know exactly what you want for your wedding in Cairns, with the music, readings, rituals or performances already chosen, you are well on the way to having the wedding of your dreams. Let’s work together to make it happen! However, if you need help, as your marriage celebrant, let me show you a selection of ceremonies, different readings or poetry for you to choose from – or let’s work closely together to create your own original, unique dream wedding.
The Getting Married page on the Attorney-General’s website is an excellent place to look for information on weddings and marriage.
